General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia Sergiy Bolobolin had a meeting with Secretary of the Committee for Cooperation between Railwa

General Director of Ukrzaliznytsia Sergiy Bolobolin had a meeting with Secretary of Railways co-operation organization Kalman Shomodi on the 21st of February. The meeting took place in the building of the State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine "Ukrzaliznytsia".

Parties has emphasized on importance of the carrying out of  the XXVIII session of the Conference of General Directors of the Committee for Cooperation between Railways  that is planned to take place in Odessa on 22nd – 26th of April 2013.

Issues on preparation to the XXVIII session of the Conference were discussed during the meeting.

General Directors (responsible representatives) of state railway administration of all countries plan to visit the meeting.

  The results of Railways co-operation organization work on issues of cargo and passenger transportation, infrastructure and rolling stock, informatization  in 2012 will be summarized during the XXVIII session of the Conference of General Directors of the Committee for Cooperation between Railways . Parties also plan to discuss program of  the Committee for Cooperation between Railways work in the future.

The Conference of General Directors of  the Committee for Cooperation between Railways is the governing body of this international organization on the railway level.

The International Committee for Cooperation between Railways was founded on the 28th of June 1956 in Sofia (Bulgaria) for consolidation of transport connections between countries and accomplishment of SMGS - The Agreement on International Goods Transport by Rail. The official date of the Committee for Cooperation between Railways launching is 1st of September 1957.

The members of  the Committee for Cooperation between Railways are state central governing bodies that manage transport affairs in 27 countries.

The goals of organization are further development of international cargo and passenger transportation, technical progress and scientific and technical cooperation  in the field of railway transport, coordination of work on development of international transport corridors, increase (rise, raise) of competitiveness of  transcontinental rail lines.

Headquarters of the Committee for Cooperation between Railways is in Warsaw, Poland.
