Volumes of cargo transportation in heavy tonnage containers increased by 18%
Volumes of cargo transportation in heavy tonnage containers increased by 18% compared to the same period of 2013 (17252 containers in 2013 and 20384 containers in 2014). Export transportations increased by 39% (8516 containers in 2013 and 11872 containers in 2014), import (6407 containers in 2013 and 5952 containers in 2014) and transit (2281 containers in 2013 and 2122 containers in 2014) decreased by 7%.
The increase of transported volumes was observed because of the increase of transportation of such kinds of cargo as corns, ferrous metals and steel.
